Safety improvements begin on one of Charleston County’s most dangerous roads for pedestrians

Officials gathered July 11 for the groundbreaking of a project aimed at making Ashley Phosphate Road — one of the deadliest in the county for pedestrians — safer for people on foot, on bikes, and in vehicles.
