This fire department is the first in SC to buy gear that doesn’t contain forever chemicals

Horry County’s firefighters used to wear head-to-toe gear that contained harmful chemicals that are linked to cancer. Now, the county has become the first in the state to purchase a newly invented turnout gear that is free of long chemicals.
