An SC architect built this home in the 1800s. Now it’s being renovated and set to hit the market.

Lawrence Reese, a Black architect born in 1860s Marlboro County, worked with marginalized communities to help shape what Darlington is today. Now, one of his houses is being restored and will be put on the market this fall.
