Anthropic, Microsoft announce new AI data centers as industry’s construction push continues

SAN FRANCISCO — Artificial-intelligence company Anthropic announced a $50 billion investment in computing infrastructure on Nov. 12 while Microsoft said it’s building new data center in Atlanta, the latest big-ticket construction projects tied to the AI bonanza.
