Charleston County magistrate suspended after report of “substantial threat” to public

South Carolina Supreme Court Chief Justice John Kittredge suspended James B. Gosnell Jr. from the magistrate court bench Sept. 16, writing he received credible information Gosnell posed a threat to the public and the administration of justice.
