Charleston home connected to legendary blacksmith Philip Simmons faces demolition

Master blacksmith Philip Simmons’ grandson owns the nearly 150-year-old home on Blake Street that sits in front of the cottage where Simmons lived and the workshop where he toiled over wrought iron.
