Deputy Chief of Moncks Corner rural fire department and community ‘cornerstone’ dies in line of duty

Deputy Chief Jimmy Townsend, a longtime firefighter and leader in Moncks Corner’s Rural Fire Department, died in the line of duty on Sept. 28.
