Developer, GOP megadonor planning a casino near Orangeburg. He wants legislators’ help to do it.

Wallace Cheves, a developer and Republican donor, wants to build a casino in the small Orangeburg County town of Santee, just off I-95. He needs legislative approval to do so, however some lawmakers are already looking to clear the way.
