Farm bill proposals would extend USDA loans to commercial shrimpers and fishermen

USDA grants and loans traditionally reserved for farmers could extend to commercial fishermen and shrimpers, if a series of proposed amendments from Rep. Nancy Mace are included in the 2026 farm bill.
