Former Spartanburg mayor remembered for leading with integrity, acknowledging LGBTQ+ community

Former Spartanburg Mayor Junie White died on Sept. 1 from natural causes. He was first elected mayor in 2009 after having served on city council. He opted not to run for fourth term as mayor in 2021.
