Gamecocks triumph in rugged battle over No. 5 LSU, stand alone in first place

Second-ranked South Carolina hosted No. 5 LSU on Friday when winter weather pushed back the originally scheduled Thursday game. It was a meeting of the last two SEC teams with undefeated league records.
