Heron rescued in Lake Wylie

Volunteers for Carolina Waterfowl Rescue saved a heron trapped in a tree by fishing line on July 13, 2025, in Lake Wylie. The bird suffered a dislocated hip and was being treated at the rescue group’s rehabilitation center near Charlotte.
