Photos: Environmental organization’s prescribed burn in Awendaw reduces wildfire risk

The Nature Conservancy’s fire team held a prescribed fire operation at Driftwood Plantation in Awendaw. The purpose of the burn is to reduce wildfire risk, aid in longleaf and loblolly pine conservation, and help the forest ecosystem.
