SC prison inmate catfished, extorted tens of thousands of dollars from victim while behind bars

After catfishing and extorting an out-of-state victim for months and obtaining tens of thousands of dollars as a result of the scheme, a Dorchester prison inmate was charged with committing the crimes behind bars.
