Wall Street yawns at DC’s shutdown nears, sending the Dow to a new high

NEW YORK — U.S. stocks coasted to the finish line of their latest winning month on Sept. 30, as Wall Street shrugged at the potential shutdown of the federal government that was just eight hours away.
